How much sleep does a teenager need?

Teenagers (14–17 years) are generally recommended to get 810 hours of sleep per night, per National Sleep Foundation guidelines.

Teenagers experience a natural shift toward later sleep and wake times (a delayed circadian rhythm), which often clashes with early school start times — a major source of teen sleep debt.
